Look who stopped by for a visit....

Sinter Klaas stopped by Grandma's house on Saturday night and guess what... we were all on the good list!  Sadie thought it was pretty cool.  She was shy and didn't want to get too close but she has been talking about that night ever since.  She loved that his horse ate the carrots we left in her wooden shoe and that Sinter Klaas left her a treat in the shoe.  We had a good time eating yummy food and celebrating this fun tradition.

1st big snow of winter 2012

This weekend we got our first big snow for the winter.  Sadie was so excited she could hardly wait to get outside and "play in winter".  She loved every minute of it, she would fall and just laugh and get back up.  She would even just lay down in the snow and say she was taking a nap.

Halloween 2012

Halloween this year was so much fun!  Sadie was so excited about everything Halloween.  We spent the entire month of October spotting Halloween around town, singing Halloween songs, reading Halloween books and other such festivities.  It is fun to see as she is starting to understand and get excited about the Holidays.  Here are a few pictures from the month....

We went to Gardner Village twice to see the Witches.  Once with Kelsey, Harmon and Sammy and then again with Jon and Andrea's family.  It was fun to see all the silly witches and spend time with friends and family.

We had fun carving pumpkins.  Sadie enjoyed scooping out the goo from the inside.  When we asked her what kind of faces we should make she said one happy and one sad so that is what we did.

I had been over to my brother's house and had admired their porch decorations the next day I received a text from David with a picture of my front porch that said "you've been stalked"  Thanks Dave I love it!!!

This year for Halloween Sadie was a Dutch girl.  Wendy found this adorable costume and it just happened to be the perfect size for Sadie.  She looked so cute and everyone loved that she went tromping through the neighborhood trick or treating in those big wooden shoes!  Way to represent the heritage Sadie!

                                                                   two little Dutch girls
After all of these photos Sadie thought she needed to get behind the camera so she took some of us.  She kept saying things like "ok one more"  "say trick or treat"  "Say Halloween"!  A little blurry but for a two year old not too shabby.
We are looking forward to the upcoming Holidays.  October was a blast with this little girl I can only imagine what the magic of Christmas will do to her!

St George September 2012

We made our yearly family trip with my family down to St. George to see Wendy and to go to Tuacahn.  This year we saw Aladdin, I loved it!  I am always a little hesitant to see great Disney movies changed into musicals for the stage because they are never the same.  Aladdin was super fun though great music and lots of humor.  I don't know why I didn't get my camera out until everyone had left except our little family but here are some pictures of us enjoying the St. George sun in Wendy's pool.

Sadie did better this year in the big pool but was still happiest playing in the wading pool.  We will see what next year brings.

Random....

Here are just a few random pictures of Sadie....She got a new big girl bed Labor day weekend.  She was so excited and has done a great job staying in it.  I will admit I was really nervous for the transition but she has loved it.  For the first couple of days after we got it she would just close the door to her room and read books on her new bed, no mom or dad allowed.  I think we may have had a small glimpse into the teenage years!

One day while playing at grandma Terry's house she found this caboodle full of lanyards Grandpa has gotten at all the many trade shows he has been to through the years.  She put everything on including the glasses and said see ya I am going to Hawaii!!!!  I am not sure where she got the Hawaii thing probably because we had talked about Grandma Claudia and Grandpa Bruce were in Hawaii with Todd and Julie.  She was ready to go see them I guess.

Sadie has been loving Dora the explorer and Grandma Terry got a cool Dora dress up at her house.  Sadie had fun dressing up like Dora wig and all!

Sadie loves to take pictures on our camera.  She thinks she is taking pictures of us but she always has the camera turned backward so I have a camera full of pictures similar to these..... so cute though.

Taggart reunion August 2012

We were so excited for another Taggart reunion this year we headed up to the home land of Washington State.  We stayed in a little camp ground near Mount Rainier.  As usual it was a great week filled with good times with the family.  Each family had to make a family flag these are a few pictures of Sadie working on our flag before the trip.  We had a little surprise on our flag as we announced to the family that we were expecting baby #2.  It was so much fun to see their faces as we introduced the flag...

This is usually how you would find Sadie...holding hands with one of her older cousins.  She loves them all and loves to be the tag along......

we went hiking on Mnt Rainier one day as we were driving we saw this bear right off the side of the road.

Each day we celebrated a different holiday.  These were taken on Halloween everyone made their own costumes.  Brian made Sadie a cute crayon costume but she didn't want to wear it but I did catch her with the hat on.

                                                    Little princess
This picture cracks me up!  Sadie is so serious while Lily gives her best "CHEESE"!

Here is the whole gang at Northwest Trek....well except Keven who ditched us for a lunch date and the Doug Taggart family that couldn't make it this trip.

We had so much fun playing in the lake at our camp ground.  Sadie had a blast jumping off of the dock into the water.  At one point she had several of her cousins lined up jumping with her.  She would count and they would all jump only problem was no one knew what number she was going to jump on....3?  10? 17?  So they all decided to just jump when Sadie jumped!  So funny!

Sorry my pictures are all our of order!  Love this one of Sadie on Rainier!

This was taken just before we left home she really is excited though it looks like she is screaming!  It was a very long trip we stayed in Boise with My Aunt Trudy and Uncle John to help break it up a little.  She did well for the trip there in the last half hour I said "Sadie we are so close I can smell it!"  and she answered "A little bit the truck is stinky!"  So true.  The ride home was not as pleasant she was done and we heard many times "I wanna get out"!!!!  But we had a fun times and are so thankful for family and for times like these that build lasting memories.  A big thanks to Todd and Julie and to Grandma and Grandpa for all they did to make it a great week!!!
