I feel like January and February are always kind of boring months. Right in the middle of winter and nothing too exciting going on. Here are some highlights from this year's January and February....
Ava lost her 1st tooth! She was a little nervous about having a wiggly tooth, but she was so excited when it came out while brushing her teeth. She left this cute note for the tooth fairy and was excited to get a dollar. Ever since she lost her tooth, Lyla has been obsessed with the Tooth Fairy. She has been putting bean bags under her pillow for the Tooth Fairy. One morning I came down to find Lyla looking disappointed in her bed. I asked her what was wrong and she said "The tooth fairy is taking a long time to arrive here." She is adorable!
We did a big bedroom switch a roo. We moved Finn to the upstairs bedroom and moved Lyla down to the bunkbeds with Ava. Ava moved to the top bunk. It has been adjustment getting Lyla to bed, but once she is asleep she stays there all night.
Ava celebrated 100 days of kindergarten. She dressed up like a 100 year old! Too cute!
We had a few snow storms in January and February, but we really haven't had very much snow this season. One storm dumped quite a bit and I was expecting school to be canceled, but they didn't. I kept my kids home! You can take the girl out of Seattle, but you can't take the Seattle out of the girl. Sadie, Finn and Phoenix went around the neighborhood shoveling walks.
Valentines day. Sadie and Finn made me breakfast in bed. (Brian was called into work for snow)
