February 2019

February brought us so much snow! So much that we even had a day off of school because of snow.  It has been a long winter.  The kids do love playing in it and hunting for icicles.  Lyla had her first outing in the snow.

This is what my entry way looks like when it snows and lots of neighbor kids come over to play.

In an attempt to get away from the snow we headed to St. George  for a long weekend with Wendy.
We had a fun time, even though it did SNOW!!! What? Snow in St. George? Rude.

My cousin, Matt and his daughter, Lucy were staying at Wendy's the 1st night we were there because they were in town for a soccer tournament.  Sadie and Lucy had fun playing together that night.

Before the snow we had fun at the park by Wendy's house and then went swimming at the rec center.

Finn and Brian did many puzzles.

Finn didn't want to go to primary so he joined us in Sunday school.  This is how enjoyed Gospel Doctrine...

Sadie and Wendy making treats.

Lyla loved playing with Wendy's toys.

Snow in St. George...

On Monday we went to a trampoline park.

That night we had a movie party and watched Ralph breaks the internet.

The kids love the dogs.

Then back on the road to go home.

We celebrated Grandma and Grandpa Taggart's 50th wedding anniversary with Brian's siblings.  Their anniversary was actually last summer, but because of their mission and such this is when we were able to get everyone together. Brian and his siblings had a sleepover Thursday night at his parent's house.  They had so much fun watching old family videos and laughing through the night.  On Friday we all went to dinner at The Roof at Temple Square.  It was a beautiful night and we had so much fun together.  Saturday and Sunday nights were spent at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Such a fun weekend!

Finn celebrated 100 days of school.  The kids could dress up like 100 year olds.  Finn was not into it.  I had gotten mustache, eyebrows and glasses for him to wear.  He decided he was not into the facial hair and just wore the glasses.

We celebrated Chinese New Year by making Chinese lanterns for FHE.  We talked about each year we were born and what Chinese animals we were.  Ava was very into this and wanted to know everyone's animal and would talk about it all the time.

Lyla is getting so big! She is learning new tricks like pata cake and blowing bubbles.  She is a happy girl and loves to be with the big kids.  She is trying lots of new foods and seems to like them all.  At her 6 month well visit she weighed 18lbs!  we love this sweet little chunk!

Random fun..

Batman and Robin on the piano. (AKA Ava and Beck)

we were shopping when Ava said "mom look, this fits me" I turned around to see this cuteness looking at me.

Valentines meant lots of love notes..

Finn has been playing with our neighbor, Kayleen lately.  It is an unlikely friendship seeing that she is 12, but they have so much fun together, building with k'nexs, jumping on the trampoline, playing games and folding origami.

There were 6 in the bed..Saturday morning snuggles in Mom and Dad's bed.

The groundhog said it would be an early spring.  I sure hope he is right.
