July 2023

We started out the month HOT! Literally! The AC went out in the house and it was hot! So hot that Finn and Lyla and I opted to sleep on the trampoline! It wasn't too bad other than we got eaten alive by ants. Poor Lyla got it the worst. Thankfully the bites are not itchy and we got the AC fixed!

Wendy to the rescue! I was so sick and Wendy still came and stayed at our house, cleaned it, fed my children, bought me swig, and played games. What would we do without Wendy?

Thankfully we got better just in time to hangout with cousins all week! Brad and Rissa came from Seattle with their boys, Asher and Bohdi. We went to Grandma's Sunday night for snow cones  then we went to Kangaroo Zoo on Monday.  The kids had fun climbing and jumping and playing arcade games.

Tuesday was the 4th of July. We partied all day long! We had breakfast and lunch at Tiffany and Nathan's while the kids played in the water all day. Then we headed to William's house to watch some fireworks, then off to the high school to watch the city fireworks.

We are all excited to see Morgan's little girl, Maverick. She is adorable!

The next day we spent the afternoon at City Creek Mall.

Finn and Beck went on their Aunt Wendy Day. They did arcades, glow golf, and bowling at Fat Cats and then lunch at thirst and then swimming at the pool!

Sadie has newfound freedom with doing her summer camp and babysitting. She now has money and is buying herself all the things. She was very excited to buy these new kicks. She has a phone now!

She also thinks she can just go roam stores just her and her friends!

These cute girls had fun in the sprinklers

Crazy sisters

cute Sadie

Sadie and Lily got to have a sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa's house where Grandma helped them sew. Sadie is getting ready to go on a pioneer trek next month, so Grandma helped her sew a skirt. It turned out very cute. She had a blast with he best cousin and Grandma and Grandpa.

If you need us we are probably at the pool.  We bought passes again and have been spending many afternoons there swimming with friends and family.

We celebrated 7-11 day with free slurpees!

We made it out on a hike! Life is crazy and we haven't had the time to get out hiking. It felt good to do it again. We did Rocky Mouth Falls and had a great time.

Lucky Finn, got to go to a RSL game with Uncle Jon. You don't have to ask Finn twice if he wants to go to a game

Brian and I were lucky to attend the Days of 47 kick off concert with Keven and Allison. It was a fun concert, byu's vocal point was one of the performing groups. It is always nice when we get to get out and enjoy some time away.

Happy Birthday, Brian! Best Dad and husband around!

cute sisters at the store..

Finn was lucky to have a week long training camp with 2 players from Ajax Amsterdam. He had a great time and would be happy to play soccer everyday!

Girl's camp 2023  was a blast! I am still serving as the camp director. We found a BEAUTIFUL camp site called Brighton Meadows that is amazing! We had a superhero theme to go with this years theme "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
We enjoyed hiking, singing, campfires, swimming, kyaking, ziplining, great devotionals, crafts, and lots of good food! Girl's Camp is the BEST!

We even saw a mama moose and her 2 babies!

Brother Barnes cooked all of our food and it was amazing! We can't wait to try this yakisoba at home!

Our Lyla is 5! We celebrated her with cake and ice cream and friends and family.

Grandma and Grandpa T were so kind to bring a cake, knowing we had been at camp and would be a bit stressed trying to get the party put together. They even made sure it had her name, Lyla T. Don't forget the T and the dot.

We got a good laugh when the grandparents were matching. Grandmas in white pants, grandpas in navy bottoms and blue polo tops. You would have thought they planned it.

Brian winning at pretty pretty princess..

Oh the things I find on my phone or Sadie's phone...They are crazy I tell you!

Sadie ran another session of summer camp.

Our neighbors did 24th of July fireworks. Thankfully nothing burned down this year!

Sadie got to go to the temple with Aunt Andrea and Lily to do baptisms. She had a great time.

We had a ward party where the primary soaked the bishop!

Ava got to have a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa Taggart's with Brooklyn. They had so much fun, playing dress up, going to the park, playing games, and scrapbooking.

Finn got his own sleepover with Grandma and Grandpa. Lots of games, puzzles, and mini golf.

We are in full blown summer mode around here. Late nights and lazy mornings and not much of a routine!  It is crazy to think that school will start in just a few weeks.
