February 2016

Provo City Center Temple Open House.
We were lucky enough to go tour the new Provo City Center Temple.  For F.H.E the night before we talked about temples, and how important they are.  Then we built temples out of sugar cubes.  We had a fantastic visit to the Temple.  We are blessed to live near so many temples, and love that our children have had the opportunity to visit so many open houses in their young lives.  Sadie has been very intrigued by the Provo City Center Temple and the history of the Provo Tabernacle that burned down in 2010.  She said her favorite part of this Temple was, "everything".  Finn said his favorite part was the, "Twisty stairs".  I am thankful for Temples and the blessings that they bring into our lives, especially that of eternal families.

Valentines Day
We had a fun valentines day.  Sadie had so much fun at her school party and loved giving out her valentines to her classmates.  Brian and I got to go out on a date for valentines day.  Date nights are pretty rare around here these days, so it was really nice to get away for a night.  We went on a horse drawn sleigh ride to the midway ice castles.  It was really cool to see these amazing ice formations.  It was a fun night.

Dentist trip
We had our 6 month dental check ups.  Sadie had a really wiggly tooth that she was not too interested in wiggling out.  Dr. Richter was able to easily wiggle it out.  That night the tooth fairy made her first ever trip to our house!  It was very exciting.  It is fun too because Ava got her first teeth at the same time Sadie is losing those teeth.

Another Hogle Zoo Trip
We had some nice early spring weather in February.  We enjoyed one of the sunny days at the Zoo.  It was a beautiful day and I think it gave us all a bit of spring fever. We even got to see the new baby giraffe at the zoo, Willow.  She is so cute.  We are looking forward to more fun zoo days.

Sadie celebrated 100 days of school!  It is hard to believe they have been in school that long, and that she will soon be done with Kindergarten!  I loved her self portrait at 100.  Lots of wrinkles!

After our zoo trip the kids came home and wanted to play outside.  The backyard was pretty much a mud pit from the winter, but the kids had a blast playing in the mud.

Our Niece/cousin Brittany Ewell is getting married in March.  We had a bridal shower for her and I made this cupcake wedding dress.  (thank you pinterest)  It turned out much better than I imagined it would.  Aunt Tracy made the cute sign that said, 'All you need is love and a cupcake'.  We are excited for Brittany and her Fiance Devin.

The most exciting part about the month of February is our new Nephew/Cousin
Beck Michael Meldrum
He was born on February 27th To Tiffany and Nathan.  He is so adorable and we are excited to have a new kid around.

Beck and Ava are 6 moths apart.  Look at that size difference!  I didn't want to lay her too close because I was worried she would steam roll him.

Random....

Ava fell asleep reading books with the big kids one night...

One morning everyone piled into mom and dad's bed.  So cute!

These two fell asleep watching TV one night.  Look at how they are twinners!

I can not keep the older two out of Ava's bed.  As soon as they hear her awake they run in and climb in her crib with her.

Dress up at Grandma Taggart's

Messy face Finn...

We had fun with these heart glasses one day.  Silly kids...

Miss Ava turned 6 months old this month.  She is getting so big, she loves to scoot and wiggle all about.
