We started off July with a visit from Wendy. It is always a party when Wendy comes. Ice cream after church, uptown jungle, Lagoon, Inside out 2 at the theater. So much cousin time!
We spent the 4th with my side of the family in the morning and the Taggarts at night.
Tis the season for lemonade stands!
Finn and Grandma and Grandpa playing the marble game that he loves and has been promised to inherit.
Finn's soccer team takes over the 7-11
While Finn was at practice the girls and I hit up a splash pad.
We volunteered packing food for hungry people. It was a good opportunity and reminder of our own blessings.
We spent an entire day at Splash Summit Water Park with friends and cousins. I didn't get a picture with all of us, but we had such a fun time.
Brittney and Devin were attending a wedding at the Taylorsville Temple and wondered if we might be able to watch Lewis and Ezra while they attended. They didn't have to ask us twice! Any chance to play with those cute boys and we are there!
We went to see the Days of '47 parade floats at the expo center. It is always nice to get an up close look in the air conditioning.
Grandma Claudia taught Sadie how to make cinnamon bread, and we are not sad about it! YUM! She has been making bread almost every week now and sharing it with family and friends.
Ava made Brian this hat at activity day. It says "I love plants" I had to snap a picture of them when he was wearing it to do yard work.
Lyla had a birthday! I can't believe our baby is 6! We celebrated with a pool party with friends. I was terrible about pictures at the pool, but we had a great time. Lyla is a sweet girl. She is quiet around others but not so much at home and around those she knows well. She loves to play with Liv and to tag along with Ava and her friends. We are so thankful she is a part of our family.
For the 24th we celebrated at Tiffany and Nathan's house.
Our not so fun part of July was when Ava pushed against her bedroom wall and pushed a hole right through it. We discovered that there was water in the wall and the sheet rock was all soft/wet. After tearing it all apart we decided it must be from the window. The girls have been sleeping in the family room while things get repaired, but it has been quite the process. Maybe one day they will move back in.
Sadie went with friends to do baptisms.
Girl's camp 2024
We had a fantastic time at girl's camp as usual. It is still my happy place.
