September 2021

We kicked September off with a Labor Day camping trip with the Meldrums and Lacroixs.  We had such a fun time.  The kids had a great time with cousins and we enjoyed good food, games, beautiful scenery, playing in the water, and campfire fun.  We definitely need to do this again!

Grandma and Grandpa came up just for a day.

It got pretty cold at night, it was nice to have Tracy and Mark's trailer to warm up in the morning.

Our first night there, as we were getting set up, my keys ended up locked in the van!  Not a good thing considering we had no cell service and were far away from normal life.  Luckily with a screwdriver, some tent poles and lots of prayers were able to get the doors unlocked.

We stopped and checked out the chalk art at the library.  People are so incredibly talented!

We have been to may soccer games this month.  A few have been a bit rainy and cold.  Someone joked, we don't need to pray for rain, we just need to schedule a soccer game.

Cool double rainbow we spotted at one of Finn's games...

Our neighbors gave us a bunch of peaches from their tree.  They were so yummy!  We had to do peaches and cream.  Peaches and cream always reminds me of visiting my Grandma Child's house.

Lyla and I went with some friends to Wheeler Farm.  We had fun seeing the animals and climbing on the old farm machinery.  It is still kind of weird only having one child during the day.

Walking to school we pass many farm properties.  We love looking at all the animals as we walk, but we were all surprised when we spotted a turkey on a roof!  He was very vocal too.  It gave us a good laugh!  If I were a big fat turkey at this time of year I think I might not be trying to draw attention to myself.

I got to go on a hike with my friend Stephanie.  We joined about 40 other women.  It was organized by a lady on instagram.  The fall colors were amazing!

Ava is trying out basketball.  She has been very excited!

We had fun at our stake picnic.  Lots of treats and lots of fun activities.

Cute kids reading books together...

Rainy soccer game selfie....

Ava got to go with Brian to the conservation gardens one day.  They were surprised to find a festival type thing going on.  Ava was excited to get her face painted...

Brian and I were able to attend the temple again this month.

When you have the library to yourself.....

Beck and Finn had several soccer practices at the same time/place.  The kids love any chance they get to be with cousins....

Some early morning sun pictures.  After we drop the big kids off at school Lyla and I get to enjoy a quiet walk home, and I love it!
