Family pictures 2022

After 2 years it was time for family pictures again.  The anxiety before pictures is always the worst...what will everyone wear? Will the weather be good? Will the kids cooperate?  However the end product is always my favorite and I end up spending days just scrolling through the pictures.

Aunt Julie took our pictures and did a great job as usual.  I love this family of mine.  I can't believe how big the kids are getting.

Sadie is 12 years old.  She is in the 7th grade at Joel P. Jensen.  She is such a smart, talented girl.  She is currently taking piano, dance, and is participating in her school musical.  She is really enjoying Jr. High and has adjusted well. She has a sweet heart and is a good friend.  We are so thankful for our Sadie Lady.

Finn is 9 years old and is in the 4th grade at Westland Elementary school.  Finn is our soccer kid! He loves soccer more than anything. He loves Real Salt Lake and enjoys watching games and learning all of the players.  He is super smart and especially loves math.  He is an expert at bugging his sisters, but can also be their best bud.  He also enjoys computer/video games and spending time with his BFF Benny.  We love this kid so much!

Ava is 7 years old and in the 2nd grade at Westland Elementary.  Ava is such a happy girl.  She is kind to everyone and tries really hard to do what is right.  She is becoming a master reader and math wizard.  She loves to create with whatever she can find.. markers, tape, glue, paint  or Legos.  We can always count on Ava to give the best hugs. Love you Ava!

Lyla is 4 years old and in preschool at Miss Tami's preschool.  Lyla is quiet in public, but loud as can ben at home.  She loves reading books, watching her favorite shows, playing with friends and her older siblings.  Her favorite is spending time with her best cousin, Liv. She brings us so much joy.

most days this picture seems like the best to describe our lives....We are a bit crazy and life feels wild with all the things that fill our time. Most days are not the picture perfect,  however crazy life gets though, I hope these kids know that they are loved more than anything.  Do we get angry and frustrated with each other? You bet! Do the kids know how to push all the buttons? Of course they do. But ultimately we are a family who is trying each day to love, grow and progress through this crazy thing called life.  There is no one else I would rather have by my side then these crazy people.

September 2022

We had a fun Labor Day weekend.  We enjoyed a BBQ with the Taggart side of the family on Saturday.  We went to Aunt Allison's house.  The kids had so much fun with cousins playing night games. Sadie is officially taller than Grandma Claudia!  Ava turned into Chucky from the Rugrats.  We had a BBQ Monday with my side of the family.  We went to Tiffany and Nathan's and I didn't take any pictures.    We always love being with extended family.

The Sunset at Aunt Allison's was amazing....

Lyla finally had her 1st day of preschool!  She has been counting down the days.  She is going to Miss Tami's again and is just so happy to be with Liv!

The kids had a Friday off of school, and had worked hard reading books to earn free tickets to the Utah State Fair.  So we loaded up and went to the fair.  We had so much fun, and spent most of the day there with friends..  We saw an awesome acrobat show, rode the big yellow slide, saw lots of animals, and played lots of games.

topped it off with dinner at Chick Fil A....much cheaper than fair food.

We had fun at the stake carnival.  The kids got to sit in this cool car that was in the car show.

They loved the cotton candy and snow cones!

Oliver is getting bigger and is still loved.  He loves to hide in the flower bed.

Crazy hair day at school...

With Lyla in preschool 3 days a week, I have a bit more free time.  I am hoping to spend more time here....

Beautiful world that we live in....

We have gotten lots of raspberries this year.  They are so yummy!

Ava really wanted to wear these glasses to school...

Brian gave us a bit of a scare....He has been having some pressure in his chest and shortness of breath.  With his family history of poor heart health, we thought it best we get things checked out.  Every thing came back looking good, but the Dr. suggested a stress test to make sure everything is ok.  So next month he will have that done.  Hopefully all is well.

Sadie has been on a major hair kick.  She loves to do the girl's hair.  She does a great job!  Too bad she doesn't have time to do everyone's hair every morning!

We went to a car show at Grandma Terry's stake.  Uncle David was there with his cool WWII Jeep....

For Liv's birthday Lyla got to go on a fun date with Liv.  They had a great time!

Grandpa Bruce had hip replacement surgery.  Aunt Natalie came to help with the recovery process....Here is Dad with is mom and dad, Uncle Todd, Aunt Allison, Aunt Andrea, Aunt Natalie.  Just missing Uncle Doug.

Ava's fun unicorn art...

We are getting ready for Halloween over here.  Lyla has been wearing this witch hat on the way to take kids to school....

We were able to go help with the 1 million meals service project.  We went with our friends the Gourleys.  Everyone worked hard and had a fun time, even Lyla...though the photos may not look like it.

We celebrated Grandpa Roger's birthday with a pizza party at Tiffany's.  He had plenty of help blowing out candles...
