November 2021

Brian and I celebrated our 15th anniversary this month.  We went to the Beyond Van Gough exhibit in Salt Lake.  It was a really cool exhibit.  I learned a lot about Van Gogh and his life.

The next night the kids were lucky to have a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa Taggart's.  They had so much fun!  So much fun that they wanted to wake up at 5:30am Saturday morning for Grandma and Grandpa!   Grandma and Grandpa are the best for letting them stay.  It was nice to have a night off and enjoy some quiet time together.  We went to dinner at Good Wood BBQ.  We used to go there when we were dating, it was fun to be back and the food was delicious.  Then we headed to the Jordan River Temple to do a sealing session.  Then we went home and enjoyed a movie of our own picking!  I am so thankful to be married to Brian.  He really is the best and I am thankful for our Temple Sealing that promises us we will be together forever!

Sadie and Ava were both nominated by their teachers to receive the Wild Cat Of The Month Award for including others.  I am so proud of them!  Nothing makes me happier than hearing that my kids are being kind!  Way to go girls!

Our ward's activity day boys and girls had a pinewood derby.  The kids were excited to participate.  Grandpa Roger was the best and helped the kids cut their cars and taught them all the tricks to having a fast car.  The kids had fun decorating their cars and really loved racing them.

Finn is having fun playing indoor soccer this season.  I gave him the choice to play basketball with a bunch of friends from school, or play indoor soccer with lots of his friends from his soccer team.  He didn't even hesitate and picked soccer.  He loves soccer!

some cute Ava school work....
"Ava and Lyla play together in the sun it is fun.  I love Lyla is the best I love her hugs."

I went to my dads work and planted flowers if was fun"

I am thankful for Mom, Dad, Finn, PE, Pizza, Sadie, Lyla, school and stuffed animals.

My niece, Morgan got married and we had a fun time at her wedding.

Ava had a Thanksgiving "feast" in her classroom.  They got to eat their lunches in their classroom and here she is in her cute pilgrim hat.

Thanksgiving morning cuddles in Mom and Dad's bed, too bad their is no room for mom!

We spent Thanksgiving with my family this year where I didn't take any pictures.  We enjoyed a yummy dinner with  my family.  The next day we decorated the house for Christmas and then headed to Grandma and Grandpa Taggart's for pie day with our Taggart family.  I failed at  pictures there too!  We had a great time visiting with family and eating all the goodness!

Sadie and Lily are only 9 months apart in age, but they look like they might be 9 years apart!  no matter the size they are still BEST COUSINS!

Sadie started piano at the beginning of this year.  Our friend, Katie Fidler in our ward is teaching her lessons.  She had her first recital and did a fabulous job.  She played Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from the movie Mary Poppins.  She had learned so much in just a few months.  Hopefully she will keep at it and learn even more!

Ava was so sad when it was time to throw the Halloween Jack O Lanterns away.  She pulled hers from the garbage and hid it under a bush in the front yard.  She took this picture after it was there for many days.  Silly Ava!  It did eventually make it's way into the trash.

We are looking forward to all the fun Holiday traditions that are coming in the next month.  It is hard to believe we are almost through another year!  Bring on December!

October 2021

I can't believe it is October already!  We started out the month with General conference.  This time we ordered some fun diamond painting kits for the kids to do during conference.  They were fun and kept them busy most of the weekend.

Our friend Vanessa and her dog, Bowie joined us.  The kids love Bowie!

Ava building a "magnet temple"

After Conference on Sunday, We went to Grandma Terry's house to celebrate Grandpa's 70th birthday!

Cute Ava did some reading in the tree.  I have seen a big improvement in her reading in just the short month she has been in first grade!

Lyla had her first ever field trip!  Her preschool class went to see the witches at Gardner Village.  She and Liv had a blast running around like crazy girls looking for witches.

Walking to school on pajama day...How cute are these kids?!

Finn had his last soccer game of the season, and it was a wet and cold one!  The kids still seemed to have a great time!  Finn has really enjoyed playing with this team, and is already looking forward to the spring season!

Sadie had craft day with Aunt Tracy and Jordan.  They made these super cute Halloween door mats!

Cute Lyla....or is it Rubble?

Ava drew this adorable Frankenstein picture....Can I call Frankenstein adorable?

And this family portrait she made....
"I Love my famle they or the best"
(I love my family they are the best)

I just love this stage of writing and drawing...

Holding hands with my Lyla while we watch a show.

We kicked off our fall break with our annual trip to see the witches with the Ferrells.  Their family is getting smaller with their kids growing up and moving away.  It was a bit rainy this year, but that didn't stop us from having a fun time.

Then we went home for soup, rolls and caramel apples.  YUM!

Lyla ate all of the caramel off of her apple, but didn't even touch the apple.

more fall break fun...We spent an afternoon at altitude with our friends Victoria and Benny.  The kids always have so much fun there.

Ava's cute picture "I Love ALTTOOD (Altitude)"

We spent a day downtown.  We had fun helping Dad plant flowers. The kids were really good helpers, well Lyla was done in about 2 min....but the others were very helpful.  Then we headed to City Creek for lunch and we played at the play area for a bit.  Then we headed to the Church History Museum, a lot of the children's exhibit were closed, but we still had a good time.  Then we went to the family history library for a bit.

The construction on the the temple is crazy!

Finn loved doing these puzzles....

looking out to see if we could see Dad...

At the Family History Library we took some fun pictures...I love these crazy kids!

This was Finland.....

Ava wanted a picture like Finn's with everyone pointing at her....We thought these kind of looked like moose.....She loves her Moose....

The next day we spent the morning at the park with a bunch of friends from the neighborhood.  After the park we went to a new Swig for free drinks and cookies....

The next day we went to the pumpkin patch with Tiffany and her kids.  The kids had fun playing in the corn pit, sliding down the big slide, going through the hay maze and this year they got to launch tomatoes.

pumpkin carving.  I think this was our best year carving yet.  The kids are getting more independent with their carving.  They turned out cute!

Taggart Halloween party. We had a fun time with our Taggart family.  Grandma and Grandpa hosted this year.  We missed the Todd Taggarts who were sick.

We were little red riding hood, Granny and the Big Bad Wolf.  Lyla is the only one still willing to let us do a group costume.

Ferrells were stick people....

The Ewells....

Brittney and Devin...

We played fun games...

This pick up the bag game was a hit.  You have to balance on one foot and bend down and pick up the bag with your mouth.

Lyla and I checked Sadie out of school for a lunch date...

Sadie had bring a friend to dance Halloween party.  Her friend Victoria went with her.  They decided they wanted to have matching costumes, so they dressed as hikers.

Uncle David invited us to their ward's trunk or treat....

Lyla ready for her preschool Halloween party and parade...

Our PTA had a skate party at classic skating.  The kids had fun....Classic is not my favorite.  I was very impressed with Ava though, she really wanted to learn to skate.  She did not give up!  Even when I was encouraging her to just get a scooter.  By the end of the night she was cruising around the rink without the walker to help!  I hope she keeps that attitude as she faces any new challenge in life.

Lyla and I were excited to watch the kids in their Halloween parade...

Sadie... (Her last Halloween parade!!)

Ava....

I missed getting a picture of Finn in the parade, but I was helping in his classroom party, so I snapped a picture there.

Our ward party was lots of fun.  It was a Day Of The Dead party.

Ava is still doing basketball.  She has had fun, but I think her favorite part is cheering her team on from the bench and getting treats at the end of the game.  I don't think she realized just how much running there is in basketball.

Trick or Treating.  We went with our friends the Humphries around the neighborhood and the kids got lots of candy!  We finished the night off with a quick stop at Uncle David's and Grandma Terry's.

The great candy sort and trade...

Halloween was on a Sunday this year.  We celebrated on Saturday.  I have been loving the fall colors this year and had to snap this picture of these cute kids after church.

A few more fall colors, because I have seriously loved them...
