You know it is cold when.....
Your car is frozen shut like a giant block of ice! I went to leave for work this morning, tried to open my driver side door and nothing! FROZEN!!! I attempted to continue pulling but no luck! So I tried all the other doors on the car...FROZEN! WHAT?! So I ran inside filled a pitcher full of HOT water (Thank goodness our landlords turned the water heater up so high that our hot water is pretty much boiling strait from the tap) I then poured the hot water on my car door and watched it all melt away. Worked like a charm. I am done with winter!

I am done with winter too! I laughed when I read your story but I really don't think it's funny at all, how annoying! Yay for hot water but stupid cold frozen doors! Sheesh!
UGH! That's pretty funny though.
Just when I was thinking it was time to come visit....

ummmm.....you should be REALLY careful I totally broke a lock on my VW when I did that again and again and again....yes it was real bad when I lived in Redmond. way to be resourceful though!
I thought of you this morning when I couldn't get into my car. I did finally manage to get in through the passenger door. But even though I was able to get inside . . . I couldn't get back out!
It's really cold here too. This morning I got up and there was frost on the ground. Brrr!

I hate that too! That happened to me twice in a week! And then I had to drive to work with a window that had ice on it from the water....sheesh. Hope it doesn't happen again for you. Once is bad enough!
