Holidays 2013

Happy Holidays!

The holidays are always so fun.  A month or more crammed with lots of family, fun and food!  This year was no exception....

Nutcracker....
Sadie and I joined Kelsey and Sammy to see the Nutcracker Ballet.  What a fun afternoon.  Sadie loved it!  I was a little worried it would be too long and she would get restless, but she was good through the entire thing.  She spent weeks after talking about Clara and the Nutcracker.  This may need to become a tradition!

Sinterklaas....
It is not the holidays without a visit from Sinterklaas.  This year was extra fun because Brad and Rissa came from Seattle to celebrate with us.  Sadie decided Rissa is her new best friend.

We made sugar cookies with grandma Terry, and we invited Madi and Taylor to join us.  Oh what a fun, delicious, frosting, sprinkle mess!!!

Kimber family Christmas dinner and a visit from Santa.

*We had a fun Christmas dinner with the Taggart family with yummy food and fun singing surrounded by people we love.  I guess I forgot the camera though!  Next year I will be better!*

All dressed up and ready for Church.  We took a quick little photo shoot.  I sure love these cute kids.  Finn loved that I was letting him touch the tree.  He started to crawl just in time to put the Christmas tree up and he was always trying to get it.

Unfortunately we were sick on Christmas!  Sad huh?  We missed going to Grandma's for breakfast and gifts with the family.  Sadie didn't even wake up until 9am.  When she woke up I asked her if she wanted to go see if Santa had come?  We went downstairs and saw that he had.  I asked if she wanted to open presents and she said "after we eat pancakes".  She really wasn't feeling good!  Santa did a good job this year!  A few of Sadie's favorite gifts were her Rapunzel doll, her little people princesses, Rapunzel dress up from Grandma, and the Rapunzel movie from Tracy and Mark.  (she had a very Rapunzel Christmas!)  Finn Got the little people Noah's arc, clothes and Tracy and Mark gave him a fun alligator.  I think the wrapping paper was his favorite.

We love all the fun that surrounds the holidays, but we can't forget the "reason for the season".  We are always thankful for our Savior and love this time of year when we celebrate his birth.  We are thankful for our amazing family and friends and don't know what we would do without them!  Merry Christmas!
