After we went to the Temple open house we headed home to pack up and go to the ward camp out. We were a little nervous since it was looking so dark and dreary in the valley we were worried we might get rained on, but we were brave and headed out anyway. When we arrived only our neighbors the Atherlys were there and it ended up just being our two families the first night. The weather was great that first day and night. We had fun exploring the camp sight, throwing rocks in the river and hanging out by the fire. The second day was more of the same, however that night right about dinner time a huge storm rolled in and it rained all night long! In the middle of the night we had thunder and lighting so loud I was worried it was going to wake the kids. Luckily they slept right through it, not I though I just lay there thinking are we safe??? The next morning we had a wet breakfast with the ward. I think there were only about 9 families total that braved the elements with us. Saturday when the sun finally came out we had fun with friends. Our friends the Humphries brought their bubble wands and boy were they fun! They made some of the biggest bubbles I have even seen. Even the adults were gathering around to see. Overall it was a wet, cold, fun weekend.
