Fall 2014

I love fall!  It may be my favorite season.  Not too hot, not too cold, falling leaves, yummy treats and fun traditions.   Here are some fun things we did this fall...

Pumpkin patch....
One Monday night for FHE we headed over to the pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins.  We called and invited Grandma Terry and she joined us for the night.  We had lots of fun.  The kids loved riding in the wheel barrows, climbing on hay bails, driving the tractor and playing in the big pit of corn!

Witches at Gardner village.....
We were lucky this year because we got to go to see the witches twice!  We went one afternoon with Kelsey and her kids, Grandma and Tracy.  Then we went one night with the Ferrell's for our annual witches, soup, caramel apple tradition.  We had so much fun both times.  Sadie loved having her picture taken with the witches.  Poor Finn fell a few days before we went and knocked his face on the sidewalk.  He cut his lip pretty good and even chipped his front tooth.  ;(  you can see the damage in some of these photos.

Carving pumpkins......
What would October be without carving pumpkins?  The kids had fun pulling out the goooo!  After we carved pumpkins we walked over to a few of our neighbor's houses to check out their light displays.  We have a couple of people that really get into decorating their yards for Halloween, with lights and blow ups.  The kids love to go see them and we walk over almost every night to check them out.

Halloween......
This year for Halloween Sadie dressed up as Elsa from the movie Frozen.  (along with every other little girl in the world.)  Finn was a monster.  Later we realized he is a Candy Monster!  He loved Halloween and it didn't take him long to figure out how cool it is.  Knock, say trick or treat get CANDY!!!  He was hooked!  Sadie had lots of chances to dress up.  She got to wear her costume to dance class, preschool, story time at the library, trunk or treat and of course Halloween.

One day we went to the library for their Halloween party.  They had fun photo back drops you could use.  I love how this picture turned out....

At the ward trunk or treat...
After trunk or treat we hurried over to Uncle Todd and Aunt Pam's house for family dinner.  We didn't get to be there for everything but we did manage to try and get a picture of all the kids.  It always proves to be quite the task.

Sadie and her friend Victoria both dressed like Elsa, ready to go to dance class....

Playing in leaves is always fun!  Here are Sadie and Finn enjoying a day in the leaves....

Thanksgiving....
This year for Thanksgiving we went to Grandma Terry's for an early dinner.  We enjoyed a yummy meal with family and then spent the afternoon relaxing.  Sadie had fun playing Wii bowling.  We have so much to be thankful for.  We have such wonderful family and friends, a home to live in, food to eat and a knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ and his gospel.  I am so thankful for all of these blessing and so many more.  Happy Thanksgiving!
