Taggart Family Reunion in Oklahoma July 2015

In July we packed up the car and headed to Oklahoma.  That's right, we drove from Utah to Oklahoma with two small children and a pregnant lady.  Crazy right?  Maybe so, but it was worth it!  Natalie and Bryan planned this reunion in Broken Bow OK.  We had so much fun.  We spent our days at the lake, boating swimming, playing in the sand/mud and enjoying time with family.   It was great to see our Texas family that we don't get to see often.  Grandma Claudia and Grandpa Bruce were not able to make it to the reunion because Grandma was still recovering from knee surgery.  Sadie loved playing with Lily and they were always planning "play dates" sometimes without the parents knowing.  The driving was the hardest part 20 + hours each way is a loooooong time to be in the car, but we all survived.

We tried to make our stops along the way fun.  We found this dinosaur in Wyoming...

We stopped at a park for lunch one day and these monkeys found a good climbing tree...

Swimming at the hotel was the best reward for a long day in the car.  The kids looked forward to it every day...

Oklahoma was beautiful! (who knew) The water was so much fun...

Best cousins Sadie and Lily...so cute!
I took our giant bubble wands and did bubbles one afternoon.  They were a hit with all the kids, even the teenagers had a good time with them.  Finn and Brooks just wanted to pop the bubbles causing much frustration for the older kids.....

I am sad this picture is blurry.  I was trying to capture the 3 'Taggart' Boys.  These 3 will carry on the name sake and the Bruce Taggart line.  Brooks, Finn and Spencer.

We had this rocking horse on the porch of our cabin.  How cute is that boy?
 Home sweet home...
One afternoon we headed to the river to play.  There were paddle boats, paddle boards and kayaks.  Later all the older kids went to go cliff jumping.  We stayed back with the little ones and enjoyed some time in the water and sand.

 I love this picture.....

What a great trip.  Sadie and Finn love spending time with their cousins.  I am thankful to be a part of this awesome family.  Who knows if we will ever have a reunion like this again.
