September 2016

The most exciting thing we did this September was a trip to Disneyland!! Our good friends the Evens moved just outside of Anaheim and so we thought this would be a great time to go visit them and hit up Disneyland...can't beat a free place to stay!  So we got Aunt Wendy to come with us, not that that took much convincing.  We drove down to St. George and stayed a night at her house and then headed to California the next day.  It was such a fun trip!  We loved spending time with our friends, visiting Disneyland and the beach.


On the way down we stopped off in Vegas.  We went to the coca cola store where we tried drinks from all around the world.  Some were good others, not so much....

That 2 hour detour in Vegas was enough for me.  Poor Finn was so confused, I think he thought Vegas was Disneyland and that we drove all that way just to leave after 2 hours! LOL 

The kids loved playing with their friends.  I think they may have enjoyed that almost more than Disneyland.  The best is when your Bff has children close to your children's age and they love to play together...

Disneyland....This was our kid's 1st time to Disneyland and Brian and I had not been in many, many years.  We had a blast!  Thankfully we had Aunt Wendy with us to show us the ropes.  Sadie's favorite ride was splash mountain, Finn's favorite was autopia.

Sadie loved meeting all of the characters.  We had bags like these for each of the kids that we asked the characters to sign.  On our last day we spent the entire morning meeting princesses.

Kelsey so kindly offered to keep Ava on our last day at Disneyland.  She was at a hard age to really enjoy it and just wanted to be running around, so that made life much easier!  

The ocean....

You can't visit California without a trip to the beach right?  We had so much fun playing in the sand and water.  Sadie LOVED the ocean, she kind of turned into a mermaid and didn't want to get out of the water.  Finn got knocked down by the waves and didn't really enjoy the taste of salt water, so he had more fun in the sand.  Ava loved the sand and water and we were all a wet, sandy mess by the time we were done.  

Random September happenings...

One day we headed to Wheeler farm to check out their story time for preschool.  The kids had a great time....

 Miss Ava is such a silly girl, she continues to climb on everything!  We have to keep our kitchen chairs laying down otherwise she climbs right up onto the table to get the fruit bowl.  She got her first hair cut this month, it is adorable especially if she will keep her rubber bands in.
