April always starts off with one of our favorite weekends....Conference! We love to Listen to the leaders of our church. We try to keep busy with fun quiet activities. (as best we can with 3 little kids) This year we made a tent to watch in, played bingo, colored and ate lots of yummy treats. As much as we love these weekends full of inspiration it always leads to a bit of cabin fever. This year it lead to crazy dress ups!
Spring Break!
We had such a fun week off of school. We spent one day at The Thanksgiving point Tulip Festival, with Grandma Claudia and Grandpa Bruce. It was so much fun walking around and looking at the beautiful flowers. The day could have been ruined very quickly when after only about 10 minutes of being there Sadie took a slide through a big mud puddle! She was covered in mud! I was a little worried that this would ruin her day but she chose to be happy and enjoy the day! (Thank goodness!)
We spent another day at Temple Square. We always love to go have lunch with Dad and play downtown. This time there was a goose swimming in the reflection pond!
Sadie and Finn were so excited to ride the escalators!
Another day was spent at the natural curiosity museum with our friends The Gourleys. The kids had a blast and we even discovered some more areas of the museum that we hadn't seen yet.
Another day we spent at Grandma Terry's making sugar cookies. Tiffany and Beck joined us that day.
Easter egg coloring...
Taggart Family Easter Egg Hunt!
This is such a fun tradition that our kids look forward to every Spring. We love spending time with cousins and extended family.
Easter
We enjoyed a beautiful Sunday at church and then dinner at Grandma's. I love the Easter holiday! I heard someone say that if there was no Easter there would be no Christmas. That is so true! The Atonement, Death and Resurrection of our Savior is the most important part of our Heavenly Father's plan. If he had not done what he did for us, the plan would not work. I am so thankful for him and his willingness to give his life for me! Because of Him all of our hurts and pains will be made right.
The week before Easter for FHE we made resurrection rolls. We had never made these before. You wrap a marshmallow in a cresent roll and roll it in butter and cinnamon sugar and then bake it. After it comes out of the over the marshmallow is gone and it represents the empty tomb. It was a fun activity and they tasted good too.
The kids got kites in their Easter baskets this year. We had never flown kites with them before. For FHE we headed to the school to fly their new kites. They had a great time!
Sadie was 'Student of the week'. I had a fun time joining her for lunch and recess. I also got to listen to her present her poster.
Random....
Ava loves singing 'Do As I'm Doing'. This is what she had Sadie and Finn doing as she was the leader...
Finn has started another season of soccer. He chose his team name 'The Blue Dragons". Something has clicked this season and he is playing like a champ! He is a fast runner and is good at getting the ball going the right direction and has made many goals!
One Saturday at the soccer fields there was a fire truck. Ava was the only one that wanted to drive...
Ava Selfie...
Sadie and her friend Madi
Ava has gotten really good at the eye roll. She loves to do it because it makes everyone laugh...
Finn seems to have inherited Brian's eye brow skills. Brian can raise one eye brow at a time. Finn has been working hard to master it, he usually does it best when he is not trying.
Mon and Sadie
Finn loves to help cook. One Sunday we were making rice crispies for a treat and he decided he needed his home depot apron on.
Cute sisters...
Sadie 'fixed' Ava's hair in the tub...
I found this selfie on my phone. I love these crazy peeps!
