4th of July
We had fun celebrating Independence Day. We went in the morning to see the movie The BFG. We had been looking forward to seeing it, because we read the book together as a family and LOVED it! The movie was just about as good as the book. We had fun lounging in the big comfy chairs at the theater. After the movie we headed to Grandma Terry's for a BBQ. We enjoyed the day at Grandma and Grandpa's and then watched their neighbors fireworks. We had a few sparklers, Finn loved them, Sadie wanted nothing to do with them. I think she is still traumatized from when she was two and touched a hot sparkler and got a little burn. How thankful we are to live in this free country, where we are free to live as we desire.
7 Peaks
We spent many days at 7 peaks. Sometimes with friends, sometimes with family. We love our pass of all passes!
One night for FHE we went to the water conversation garden. We had a lesson about the creation and talked about all the beautiful things our Heavenly Father created for us here on earth. The kids love going to the garden and walking all around. They had a flower there called the Centenial plant, apperently it only blooms every 25 years and it was blooming this month, so we had to check it out. It was a beautiful night.
Another trip to the zoo! We have loved our pass that we got for Christmas. This trip we took Grandma Terry with us. The kids were excited to play in the splash pad, so they wore their swim suits. Then when we got to the splash pad they decided they were not into it today.
We found petroglyphs at the zoo, just like in St. George!
We spent a day at downtown at Temple Square. Sarah who works with Dad called and invited us to join them for dessert while they celebrated Dad's birthday. We love spending the day there, eating lunch with Dad and then spending time at the church history museum and the dinosaur play land at City Creek.
Camping at Yuba Lake
We spent a few days camping at Yuba Lake with Tracy and Mark and Tiffany, Nathan and Beck. We had a blast! The 4 wheelers were definitely the favorite part for the kids. They were begging to go every 5 minutes! The first night the wind was crazy! Setting up the tent was a trick because the wind was blowing it everywhere and sleeping at night was not so easy. Sadie and Finn slept well, but Ava, Mom and Dad could not sleep because the tent was so loud in the wind. We celebrated Dad's 40th birthday while we were there, with some delicious blackberry cobbler. We enjoyed time down by the lake and just hanging out at camp. It was super fun!
We always know when there is nothing to do we can find something to do at Grandma's. We had a fun day playing the sprinkler at her house....
Random July happenings....
Ava is so silly, when she sits in her highchair she always puts one foot up in the air. It makes us laugh every time...
She is always climbing in,on,under or over something....
She has started walking! My earliest walker for sure.
Dress like a cow day at Chick Fil A!
We made these silly masks for everyone this year.
Sadie lost tooth #2
It was so wiggly, I was going to do the floss trick but on the first pull of the floss it didn't come but made the tooth even more wiggly. I was able to just grab it with my fingers.
Silly Sadie found lipstick and put it on. We were outside playing/riding bikes when she sat down by me and said "I look like a champion in my lipstick". Cracked me up!
Sunday night smores at Grandma's.....
Morning snuggles! Love, Love, Love!!....
on 7-11 you can get free slurpees at 7-11...
The first tomato we picked from our garden this year had a strange growth, we decided to give it a face....
