January/February 2018

We escaped the cold and yuck of winter and headed to St. George to visit Wendy.  It was so nice to feel the sunshine.  We had so much fun climbing rocks, hanging out and relaxing at Wendy's, we went to see the movie Ferdinand and spent some time at the Temple and visitors center.

We should have stayed longer because not long after we got home we got hit with a big snow storm! We really can't complain because we have had very little this winter, but I still don't really like it. The kids love playing it though.

Random January happenings...

One morning I left Ava at the table eating oatmeal.  When I came back I found her with a mouth full of brown sugar.  She said "I am just trying this.  I like this stuff" .  

This girl loves her some chips!  She usually says she wants peanut butter and chips for lunch.  

Ava has two favorite blankets.  Her Elsa blanket and the "other one blanket."  Other one blanket used to be a throw blanket we had on our chair in the living room, but Ava took a liking to it and has claimed it as hers.  It is obviously loved because it is getting a bit holy...

   Sadie lost another tooth! It is always a bit traumatic for her, but I am always glad to get them out!

Ava fell asleep on the couch during our bedtime routine.

On Valentine's day we found out we are expecting a baby girl!  We are excited.  Finn was a little sad, he was really hoping for a baby brother, but I know he is going to love this little girl so much and be the best big brother!

More snow!!! I hate the getting everyone dressed and the clean up after, but I guess it is worth seeing the smiles on their faces.

Random Ava....

She fell asleep on grandma's floor.  She thinks she is too big for naps, but maybe not.  

"Rocket ships" are the best reading spot..

We went to the kids safe fair.  The kids loved climbing in all the buses, police vehicles and getting lots of treats from all the different booths.  Finn loved meeting the super heroes. 

Finn's preschool made this cute robot out of recycled materials.  

For the longest time I could smell something stinky in Finn and Sadie's room.  no one else seemed to be able to smell it.  I looked everywhere and cleaned everything, and still couldn't find the source of the smell.  After a few weeks, Finn told me he found something in his backpack that was all slimy!  UGH!!! he had orange slices in his backpack that he forgot about.  Finally the mystery smell was solved.  Nothing like a pregnant nose to track down all the stinks!
