We made back from girls camp just in time for the 4th of July festivities. Sadie walked in the West Jordan Parade, with her dance group. She loved it, even if it was sooo hot!
Then we headed to Tiffany and Nathan's for their always epic 4th of July party. We always have fun with family, playing in the water, piñata, and lots of yummy food!
After Tiffany's we went to Aunt Allison's to celebrate with some of the Taggart side of the Family. It was a fun day. We always love spending time with family. We are thankful for this beautiful country that we live in, and for the many freedoms we enjoy.
I am the activity day leader for the girls ages 8-11 in our ward. We planned a combined activity with the boys activity group. We had a fun morning of exploring the Temple Quarry Trail and doing some fun crafts and activities at the church. It was fun to be there with Finn.
We went camping with our friends the Gourleys and had such a fabulous time. We went to our favorite camp sites at Tanner's Flat and it was perfect. The kids loved exploring, playing games, hiking Lisa Falls, and getting so dirty!
We went to Altitude with some of our playgroup friends. Ava and Finn climbed these rock walls while we were there...
We went to see the parade floats at the expo center. We waited in line for face paint and balloon animals way too long ,but still had a fun time.
Our stake had a float in the parade this year. It was fun to see that.
Our friend Katie and her kids came with us. Her little girl Charlotte loves Sadie...
We did a thing....
Meet Oliver, our new Holland Lop Bunny.
after much convincing we gave in to the idea of getting a bunny. Mainly because he can live outdoors year round, is quiet, not too messy, and is pretty low maintenance, and is pretty cute. Hopefully it was a good idea. So far the kids LOVE him so much, He gets plenty of attention. Wish us luck!
Little Miss Lyla had a birthday! 4 years old!
We celebrated with a date just Mom, Dad and Lyla. We went to lunch and then to the store to pick out a new bike. That was all she wanted for her birthday. Then we had family over for cake and ice cream. We love out Lyla, She is smart, silly, great at cuddles, and really knows how to make us smile. Her favorite color is still yellow, her best friend is Liv and her favorite food is hamburgers. Happy Birthday sweet Lyla we love you!
We celebrated Pioneer day at the Reservoir with Meldrums and our friends the Humphries. We had so much fun on the beach and in the water. We are already ready to go back!
For Sadie's birthday we gave her tickets to go see The Sound Of Music. She and I had a fantastic time.
Then that night we enjoyed a BBQ and outdoor movies with neighbors. It was a fun night.
Random July...
More pool time...
These two love to be matching for church....
Lyla really enjoyed Grandma's yummy homemade jam...
Ava lost another tooth, here is her note to the Tooth Fairy...
We had a lemonade stand with Tiffany's kids. Why is this every child's favorite summer activity? They had a great time and made a bit of money!
We started a new tradition, where if it is your birthday you can pick your own personal pint of ice cream and you don't have to share with anyone! I thought it was funny that Lyla picked plain old Vanilla. I guess you can't mess with something that is already perfect.
