We started June with all of the end of school fun! I volunteered to take Finn's class around for their field day activities. It was lots of fun.
Lyla got to have her own end of year celebration with Miss Tami since she missed the celebration when she was sick. It was a very quiet celebration since Lyla didn't say a word.
Sadie had her 6th grade dance. Much to her dismay I volunteered to help with the dance. They had a fun time and it ended with most of the kids in tears. This is a big transition for them.
Last day of 6th grade....
Last day of 3rd grade....
Last day of 1st grade....
I am always so thankful for amazing teachers and all that they do to love, teach and help my children grow.
Sadie really enjoyed being in Mrs Johnson's class this year.
Ms. Bair was amazing for Finn. He learned so much this year!
Ava is so sad to leave 1st grade because she LOVES Mrs Searle so much!
We hit the ground running and started and have already crammed so much into summer!
Our friend Christina in our ward threw herself an epic 40th birthday party it included a petting zoo, photo booth, pizza, a parade and even a magician. We had a great time...
We celebrated our niece/cousin Katie at her graduation party!
We went to free admission day at This Is The Place monument. We had so much fun! I love seeing all of the pioneer things and I always think I want to be a pioneer. Except I really like indoor plumbing.
Finn was an expert at this game. Even the people that worked there were amazed at this skills.
Aunt Andrea hosted a tea party for all of the girls at her house. It was so fun! We enjoyed little treats and great company. My only complaint was that the plates were too small.
While the girls had a tea party the boys went to the park to play soccer and went to get snow cones. Then they came back and surprised us with WATER BALLOONS!!! Crazy boys! Finn loved every minute hanging out with just the boys.
We bought pool passes again this year and have already started putting them to good use.
The concession stand is open this year and this might be some of the kids favorite part of the pool this year. I need to always remember that Ava calls the concession stand the "confession stand" and I need to remember that Lyla said she wanted an ice cream hamburger.
Finn loves to take pictures with me!
Ava made a goal to jump off of the diving board this summer well, she crushed that goal the 1st day we went to the pool and has since upgraded to the high dive! You go girl! She has become quite a fish this year!
We hiked Timpanogos cave. This was such a great day. We lucked out with perfect weather. It was cloudy and even sprinkled on us a few times. I imagine hiking this in full sun would have been a much different experience. The hike felt pretty long and steep, but the kids did a pretty great job. Our friends the Gourleys joined us and the kids always loves to have their friends with us.
The kids worked hard on their Jr. Ranger books
The kids each earned another Jr. Ranger badge. Lyla was so proud!
We met up with Aunt Julie and her kids for a cousin day at the splash pad. We always have a good time when we get together.
Random June....
These cuties were being so silly at Grandma Claudia's.....
Ava's cross eyes makes me sick!
We had some cute cousins trying to sneak home with us after a visit at Grandma and Grandpa's
Ava's friend Ruby was baptized!
Finn had fun learning about fires/fire safety at activity day
Lyla found a friend at the store...
Our strawberries have been growing like crazy!
We had a fire pit in our backyard with yummy smores.
We are going to summer movies again. It's always a nice air conditioned break, plus we get to see friends and cousins!
Lyla taking selfies during church...
We went to a Vuyk reunion and of course our kids found the giant trees to climb... It's a good thing dad doesn't mind climbing up when they need a little help down.....
I am not quite sure how I don't have any pictures from Sadie's birthday. (Bad mom who was trying to get ready for girls camp probably...) Anyhow she did in fact have another birthday! 12 years old! It is hard to believe she is 12. Sadie really is an amazing girl. We are lucky to have her in our family. Happy birthday Sadie!
