December 2018

Sinterklaas...
We had another wonderful visit from Sinterklaas.  We are lucky to have such fun traditions.

Hungry, Hungry Hippos with Uncle Brad

I got to go with Sadie and her class on their field trip to the Clark Planetarium.  I had never been there and it was pretty cool.  We even got to see an Imax movie.

Sadie and I went with our friends Victoria and Trisha Gourley to see the Nutcracker. We always love this ballet!

Lights at Temple Square.  We never made it to see the lights last year, so we knew we had to make it happen this year.  Our friend Vanessa joined and we had a great time.

One night we went to see the candy window displays in South Jordan.  To our surprise we found Santa!  The kids were excited to see him and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.

Christmas Eve snuggles and reading The Night Before Christmas

Lyla at the Christmas Eve Party with the Child's family  (5 months old)

Unfortunately my phone died and my pictures from Christmas had not backed up yet.  So I have no pictures from our Taggart family party or our actual Christmas pictures, but I promise Christmas really did come this year.  Surprisingly no one was on the naughty list.  We had a fun night celebrating with the Taggarts singing Christmas carols and opening gifts from Grandma and Grandpa.  Christmas Eve we went to the Child's family party.  We had fun making cute crafts, learning about Christmas and spending time with those we love.  On Christmas morning we went to Grandma Terry's for green pancakes and strawberries and whip cream then opening gifts from Grandma and Grandpa and the Meldrums.  Some of this years favorite gifts included... Sadie got a karaoke machine that she has just loved.  Finn got nerf guns and Ava got lots of paw patrol toys. Lyla got some new toys too.  We are so thankful for the Holiday season and the opportunity it gives us to remember our Savior, Jesus Christ.  How thankful we are to our Heavenly Father for the gift of His Son.

For New Years Eve we went to Grandma Terry's.  Our friends the Burtenshaws, Vanessa and my cousin Carla and her family all came.  We played games and enjoyed lots of dinner and snacks.  We rang in the new year at 9pm while the kids marched around in a parade.  Good bye 2018 thank you for a great year, 2019 here we come!
